Huntsville, AL – Since 1991, Dr. Valerie Johnson has provided breast imaging services to patients at Huntsville Breast Center, and after these twenty-five years, she has announced her retirement. “It has been a great privilege to serve my patients through these years. Thank you for the support and confidence you placed in me and my staff. The mutual caring relationships with patients that were developed over the years will always be cherished.” says Dr. Johnson.
The practice is being transitioned to Outpatient Diagnostic Center of Huntsville (“ODC”). ODC has three locations in North Alabama – Huntsville, Madison and Athens – and has been operating in the area for more than twenty years. Patients of Huntsville Breast Center will be notified by letter concerning this transition. Likewise, patients may contact ODC whose team members are available to answer any questions that patients may have in regard to this transition or their individual medical records. Outpatient Diagnostic Center may be reached at 256-534-5600.
In addition to three convenient locations, ODC offers 3D Mammography, also called Breast Tomosynthesis, which is a revolutionary new imaging technology. 3D Mammography studies enable the reading radiologist to obtain images of the breast that provide better tissue visualization, high contrast, and improved tissue detail versus traditional mammography units.
“Outpatient Diagnostic Center has the utmost respect for the dedication Dr. Johnson has shown to her patients in the diagnosis of breast disease and the early detection of breast cancer over the years.” says Colette McGill, Administrator at ODC. “ODC certainly has big shoes to fill in this market and we are honored Dr. Johnson has chosen Outpatient Diagnostic Center to continue her mission to her patients.
