OUTPATIENT IMAGING AFFILIATES ADDS THIRD LOCATION TO UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA JOINT VENTURE
Nashville, TN – Outpatient Imaging Affiliates (“OIA”) announced today the opening of its third outpatient diagnostic imaging center as part of its University of Virginia joint venture. The UVA Imaging Center at Northridge is located in the Northridge Medical Park in Charlottesville, Virginia approximately three miles from the main hospital campus.
UVA Imaging at Northridge will provide CT, ultrasound and X‐ray services as well as MRI procedures on a new, 1.5t high‐field large‐bore MRI unit providing high‐quality imaging with a larger opening than standard MRIs to make the experience more comfortable for claustrophobic and larger patients. The center is soon to start a further expansion of services that will offer outpatient myleography, pain management and vein ablation exams.
“The University of Virginia joint venture with OIA opened this third location to expand access toa wide range of quality, conveniently located outpatient imaging services to patients from across Virginia,” Outpatient Imaging Affiliates CEO Frank Kyle explains. “Together, we saw this as an opportunity to further complete a continuum of outpatient care with a convenient and patient‐friendly diagnostic imaging solution located off campus but still within the heart of the greater Charlottesville community.”
Formed in 2002, University of Virginia Imaging, LLC, is a strategic joint venture between OIA and The University of Virginia Medical Center and currently operates three locations in Charlottesville. OIA provides management, marketing, billing and collection services for the locations.
